Dedicated Server


A dedicated server is a computer provided by a supplier, in this case 2001. The customer has space on a dedicated server for the entire machine in contrast to the shared hosting where he shares with other users of resources of the machine.


A dedicated server is geographically located in a data center (or "data center" "net-center") and has connections to the Internet that allow it to exchange data on the web.

Operating system

A dedicated server is primarily intended for extensive use on the network, the operating system is choosing refer to his ability to manage this feature. It is much more than a web page server and in that sense we prefer an OS offering maximum associated services. Free software Linux gives them an advantage.
 The addition of an additional service is free, simple to install and generally does not pose a problem of compatibility with already installed services.
